Tata Harrier SUV OFFICIALLY revealed photo and video

Tata’s most-awaited SUV, the Harrier has been finally officially revealed through a video. Tata Motors has been releasing teaser videos for the upcoming SUV for a long time now. Finally, a video has been revealed that completely reveals the Harrier’s exterior design.

Watch it getting built

The Tata Harrier is based on the H5X concept model that was revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo earlier this year. Tata announced that the production version would stay close to the concept version and now that the vehicle has been revealed, it does look close to the production version of the vehicle. This is the first-ever vehicle that has been built on the Tata’s OMEGA platform that has been derived from the Land Rover’s LR550 platform.
The official pictures and video shows that the Harrier gets Tata’s latest IMPACT 2.0 design language. It gets a sleek grille at the front and on both the extremes, sleek LED Daytime Running Lamps are located. The main headlamps are located below in a blacked out enclosure alongside the round fog lamps.
The Harrier looks quite rugged and gets a black bumper with a wide silver skid plate. The whole body gets a cladding that can be seen on the wheel arches too. At the rear, the Harrier gets a similar black bumper with a silver insert. The exhausts are smartly integrated into the bumper itself. The tail lamp section is also quite interesting. It gets split LED taillamps with a black element connecting both of them in a neat way. It also gets a roof-mounted spoiler that adds the sporty bit.

From the side, Harrier looks quite interesting. It retains the thick C-Pillar shown in the H5X concept. The blacked out pillar gets chrome insert that adds a very premium look to the vehicle. It is a two row, 5-seater vehicle, so the rear row has been placed in a way that the thick pillar does not affect the visibility. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels but they are not as exciting as the ones shown on the H5X concept.
The pictures also do not show the sunroof of the Harrier. It was earlier being speculated that it will offer a sunroof. However, it is quite possible that Tata will offer it as an accessory like the Nexon. It gets dual-coloured ORVMs and a sleek chrome bead running on the window line too, which further add a premium look to the vehicle.
Tata earlier revealed that it would be powered by the KRYOTEC engine, which is a rebadged version of the 2.0-litre MULTIJET Fiat engine that also powers the Jeep Compass in India. The power details have not been revealed but it is expected to get 140 Bhp of power. Tata would also use a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai.
Harrier 3
Tata has already started taking official bookings at a payment of Rs. 30,000 and the prices are expected to remain between Rs. 16 lakhs and Rs. 22 lakhs, on road. The deliveries are expected to start by late January 2019.

The future Hyundai Creta compact SUV!

The future Hyundai Creta compact SUV!

Come 2020, Hyundai will launch the second generation Creta SUV in India and many other countries where the vehicle is currently sold. The all-new Hyundai Creta is expected to be larger than the current version, and with 3 rows of seats making for a 7 passenger capacity. Here is a speculative render that shows what the all-new Hyundai Creta could look like.
2020 Hyundai Creta New Render 1
As the render clearly shows, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to derive inspiration from the South Korean  automaker’s flagship SUV offering – the 2018 Santa Fe. A cascading grille and LED daytime running LEDs dominate the front end of the new Creta.
The bumper gets projector headlamps, similar to what’s going to be offered on the upcoming Tata Harrier. Headlamps in the bumper is turning out to be a hot new trend with multiple automakers across the world opting for such a design in their SUVs.
Since the new Creta is said to adopt a 7 seat layout, the render indicates a longer body than the current version.  The SUV is also likely to be wider and taller than the first-generation model. The rear does show some similarity with the current Creta, especially the tail lamp section.
2020 Hyundai Creta New Render 2
The design is finished off with dual exhaust tips and a sporty bumper insert. The top gets a panoramic sunroof, a  feature that is expected to be offered on the 2nd generation Hyundai Creta. The new SUV is likely to be a lot more  loaded than the current version.
The new Creta is expected to use the new crop of engines that Hyundai and Kia have been developing keeping tightening emission norms in mind. Both the petrol and diesel engines on the new SUV are likely to be 1.5 liter units. These motors will be first seen on the Kia compact SUV, which will be launched in India late next year.
These engines will also be offered on the facelifted Hyundai Verna sedan before making their way into the new Creta. The new SUV is expected to get full hybrid and electric variants in future. The platform on which it will be based on will be engineered suitably for this.
As for price and positioning, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to command a premium due to the additional row of seats, added features and the costs involved for complying with tighter emissions. Expect prices to start from over Rs. 10 lakhs. The new Creta is likely to directly rival the Mahindra XUV500.

Yamaha FZ Version 3 Spotted Testing; India Launch In 2019

Yamaha FZ Version 3 Spotted Testing; India Launch In 2019

2019 Yamaha FZ may bring more power through the same setup as present generation model has the most decent output among all others of its segment. The console used here looks similar to FZ25 and dual disc brakes may arrive as standard on the FZ Version 3. The tail section gets new tire hugger, familiar taillight design and grab-rail sort of finish after the pillion seat. Yamaha has always shared parts among multiple motorcycles to keep the cost under check and this generation is too a similar story. It seems like the rear tire is also an upgraded 140-section unit from FZ25.
Some of the noticeable upgrades will include LED headlight, redesigned fuel tank with a similar design to FZ25, extended fairing that connects to the fuel tank shrouds, reworked handlebar position promoting straight riding position and a slightly lower rear section for easy pillion seating. The current generation 149cc, single cylinder engine is good for 13.2 PS at 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6000 rpm. The low 9.5:1 compression may get raised for better output in the next generation model. Yamaha FZ-S weighs 133 kg with the rear disc brake and thus, expecting a similar or even lower wet weight for the third generation model is obvious.
